Lectern Amplifier

* Professional amplifier with 100 watts of power specifically designed for the Presidential Evolution Lectern

* Internal rechargeable battery (see Rechargeable Battery)

* Charge LED will illuminate green when fully charged, it will change color to yellow then red as power is drained from the battery

* When battery is almost empty, it will flash red to warn that power is almost fully consumed.

* The amplifier contains a power saving feature that will shut itself off after 15 minutes of nonuse

* Should last 6 hours at full power on a single charge – much longer for speaking engagements

* 3 independent microphone "combo" jacks

* Will accommodate older quarter-inch style connectors or professional 3-pin "XLR" connectors

* XLR portion of each jack provides phantom power for condenser microphones

Rechargeable Battery

* SLA rechargeable battery can last 5 years or beyond if kept properly charged – guaranteed for 2 years

* Battery does not have to fully discharge before recharging as is the case with Ni-Cad batteries. This means at any point while the battery is discharging, the charger can be plugged in without compromising the life of the battery

* System can even be used while the battery is charging

* The system will not allow you to overcharge. Once fully charged it will go into a float charge state. You could leave it charging continuously and not damage the battery
