Modern Office will attend NeoCon 2012 at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago next week. NeoCon is the largest exposition of commercial furniture and interiors in North America with an expected 40,000 attendees visiting over 700 showrooms and exhibits.

We realize that many customers have a lengthy purchasing, approval, and budgeting process, so it’s not always easy or quick for them to submit a requisition to their purchasing department for just one chair. We also have other customers of all types who are more comfortable trying one chair before committing to a large quantity.
If you are an established business or organization we can ship one chair to you for evaluation. We only ask that you return the chair if you decide not to keep it. We’ll hold your invoice until you decide. If you order more chairs we can adjust the price on the evaluation chair so that you receive the quantity discount on that chair too. That way you get to try out the chair without going through your requisition process, you only need to return one chair if you decide you don’t want it, and you receive the benefit of the quantity discount on all of the chairs.

One of the more interesting aspects of selling office furniture is the selection of new items to offer in our online store or showroom. New and exciting designs or colors are sometimes introduced. An innovative new product or upgraded feature is developed. Or we start to carry a new line of furniture.
We are constantly contacted by manufacturers and manufacturer representatives with updates on what is new. We also attend office furniture conventions and exhibitions.
I recently realized how Modern Office is different in an important way. A manufacturer showed us an item that was a big seller for them. They thought we were missing out by not offering it. It was a featured product for most other catalog and online retailers. However, we always thought that item had problems and was not a good value. The manufacturer’s sales manager responded, “But what do you care? It sells! You don’t take the orders or have to deal with the customers!

Modern Office is pleased to announce that we recently expanded our office furniture showroom here in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Our customers in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area and surrounding suburbs can now see and try even more furniture in person than ever before.
We also stock the displayed furniture here in our warehouse, so customers can purchase and take the furniture with them.
